Learning Lab – Online Terms & Conditions 

Services 

Learning Lab provides online one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions for primary school students (Years 3–6), focusing on literacy, numeracy, and confidence building. 

Bookings & Payments 

All sessions must be booked in advance. 

Payment is required prior to the session unless otherwise agreed. 

Payments are made via bank transfer or agreed method. 

Ongoing weekly bookings may be reserved in advance. 

Cancellations & Rescheduling 

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session. 

Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged at the full session rate. 

If the tutor needs to cancel, a reschedule or full refund will be provided. 

Online Session Requirements 

Sessions are conducted via platforms such as Zoom or Google Meet. 

Students must have: 

A working device (laptop/tablet preferred) 

Stable internet connection 

A quiet, distraction-free environment 

A parent/guardian must be present in the home during sessions. 

Technical Issues 

If technical issues occur on the student’s end (e.g. internet dropouts), the session will continue where possible but may not be extended or refunded. 

If technical issues occur on the tutor’s end, the session will be rescheduled or extended. 

Attendance & Punctuality 

Students are expected to join sessions on time. 

Sessions will finish at the scheduled time, even if the student joins late. 

Behaviour Expectations 

Students must behave respectfully during sessions. 

Repeated disruptive behaviour may result in termination of the session without refund. 

Progress & Outcomes 

Each child progresses differently. While support and guidance are provided, no guarantees are made regarding academic results. 

Resources & Materials 

All worksheets, slides, and materials provided remain the property of Learning Lab. 

Materials are for personal use only and must not be shared, copied, or distributed. 

Privacy & Confidentiality 

All student information is kept confidential. 

Student work may be shared with parents for progress updates. 

Recording of Sessions 

Sessions are not recorded unless prior consent is given by both the tutor and parent/guardian. 

Termination of Services 

Learning Lab reserves the right to discontinue services if terms are not followed. 

Changes to Terms 

Terms may be updated at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes.
